Rebuilding Together Indianapolis Announces New Executive Director

Rebuilding Together Indianapolis is pleased to announce Alison “Ali” Brown as our new executive director.

“Alison’s qualifications make her the perfect fit for our mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives,” said Jayson Watt, board president, Rebuilding Together Indianapolis. “Ali is a strong, skilled leader who will help us implement our strategic plans for continued growth.”

You may also see Ali around town in her other role as Indianapolis City-County Councilor for District 5. Her dedication to our city demonstrates the passion she has for our neighbors in need. We share the same vision of creating safe homes and communities for everyone.

“I’m excited to bring my commitment to build better and stronger communities to Rebuilding Together Indianapolis,” Ali said. “For more than 20 years, the organization has helped people remain safe and secure in their homes. The dedication of the board, the Union Building Trades, and community partners is beyond compare. I am proud to join this team and continue its work making Indianapolis a better place for all our neighbors.”

Ali joins us from NeighborLink Indianapolis. In her role as volunteer coordinator, she worked directly with the community to grow their volunteer base and established new volunteer training and onboarding procedures.

As previous executive director of the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation, Ali has strong ties to our partners at the Indiana Union Construction Industry. She worked to address the construction workforce shortage head-on and developed a program to make jobs available to more women and people of color. The relationships she formed here will be invaluable as Alison continues our work with the Union Building Trades to provide critical repairs for our neighbors in need.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our past Executive Director Bill Davis for his 20 years of service. As one of our founders, Bill has worked tirelessly to provide our community with safe, healthy homes and grow our organization to where we are today. We wish him all the best in his retirement.

The board of directors is excited by the experience and determination that Alison brings to Rebuilding Together Indianapolis, and we look forward to the future as we expand our impact in Indianapolis communities!
