Who We Serve
Rebuilding Together ® Indianapolis provides free assistance to people who own their own home but who, because of physical limitation or low income, are struggling to cover the costs of home repair.
The total number of people living in low-income working families now stands at 47.5 million, including 23.5 million children. This total could reach 50 million in a few years. This growth means that more and more families are placed in the position of choosing between vital necessities, such as food and medicine, or a roof that does not leak.
Application & Selection Process
Qualified homeowners are low-income, elderly or disabled and unable to make the needed repairs themselves. Homeowners we serve are typically within one neighborhood that is selected every two years. We work alongside the neighborhood we are currently serving to disperse applications through community meetings and referrals. If you are interested in applying digitally, you can submit your application on our website using the button below!
Interested in learning more about the homeowner application process? We encourage prospective applicants, family members, caregivers, and community partners to explore the qualifications, review eligibility requirements, and learn what to expect throughout the selection process. Our team is here to help answer questions and guide you through the next steps.
