Letter from the President - Jayson Watt

As we begin 2019, please join me in thanking David Werking for his leadership and commitment to our success. Mr. Werking's tenure as President has positioned RTI for continued growth and prosperity. David will continue to serve RTI as Past President, and Chair of the Sponsorship Committee.

One of RTI's founders, and our Executive Director, Bill Davis is celebrating his 20 Year Anniversary this year! Mr. Davis has also served as Past President, and we are very thankful for his wisdom and many years of service.

This year, Rebuilding Together of Indianapolis' shares it's 20 Year Anniversary with our neighbors, sponsors and volunteers. The Mission back then is the same today: repairing homes, revitalizing communities and rebuilding lives. Our Vision is safe homes and communities for everyone and since our inception in 1999, we have served over 400 homeowners!

Our staff has grown, which now includes an Associate Executive Director, Denny Stephens. Mr. Stephens was previously a board member and has been instrumental in our strategic planning.

We are also very excited to announce Rebuilding Together Indianapolis has officially opened the doors to our new office on the near east side of the city.

Through all this growth we had several successful community events including our Spring Rebuilding Day in the Twin Aire neighborhood. This build was supported by our many sponsors and the skilled labor provided by the Indiana Union Construction Industry and volunteers like you. In 2018, we had over 500 volunteers help us rebuild homes in Indianapolis!

For the 11th year in a row, the Indianapolis Colts Organization rebuilt a playground at an Indianapolis Public School. Our Spectrum partner worked on a home improvement project and provided Safe and Healthy Home Kits to distribute in the neighborhood. Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation contributed by providing volunteers, making energy-efficiency improvements and completing extensive repairs to help keep a family's warm this holiday season. Fifth Third Bank and Allison Transmission teamed up on two transitional housing units for homeless veterans with the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation.

We truly appreciate our board members who have donated countless hours serving on committees, volunteering and meeting with members of our community.

We look forward to Rebuilding Together another community in South East Neighborhood Development area in 2019.

A special thank you to our sponsors for helping Rebuilding Together Indianapolis bring change to the communities that are most in need.
