Near North Community Partner Award Received Recognizing Neighborhood Project

Near North Development Corporation hosted their annual recognition luncheon on June 24, 2015. Rebuilding Together was honored with the Community Partner Award in recognition of delivering a successful Rebuild Day in their community.

The Rebuild Day consisted of improvements to 22 homes in need particularly those of elderly and disabled allowing them to continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. The event took place on April 25, 2015 and allowed for over $500,000 value in cash and in-kind donations of time and materials. 350 volunteers contributed over 2500 hours to the home improvements, clean up and flower planting in adjacent public spaces and re-establishment of the community pocket park.
