Volunteers Brave Cold & Rainy Weather for Gameday 2012

This year's Rebuilding Together game day on Saturday, April 28th was a huge success! Joining more than 200 affiliates across the U.S., Rebuilding Together Indianapolis worked in the Near Eastside of Indianapolis in the Martindale Brightwood CDC to revitalize nearly 20 homes.

Despite the rain and cold, the event drew more than 500 volunteers from local companies and union trades. The opening ceremonies were attended by Mayor Greg Ballard and Representative Andre Carson, along with other local celebrities. Work on the homes included everything from a new roof, plumbing, and electrical wiring to landscaping, painting, and clean-up.

A big thanks goes out to all the volunteers and contributors who make this special event happen. Check out photos from the day here.
