Rebuilding Together Indianapolis was thrilled to serve as the volunteer engagement partner for the Indianapolis Colts Project Playground at IPS Floro Torrence Elementary School located at 42nd Street and Emerson Avenue.  The project marked the fifth year Rebuilding Together Indianapolis provided site project coordination and volunteer engagement to the Colts Playground initiative.

Near North Development Corporation hosted their annual recognition luncheon on June 24, 2015.  Rebuilding Together was honored with the Community Partner Award in recognition of delivering a successful Rebuild Day in their community.


The Rebuild Day consisted of improvements to 22 homes in need particularly those of elderly and disabled allowing them to continue to live in warmth, safety and independence.  The event took place on April 25, 2015 and allowed for over $500,000 value in cash and in-kind donations of time and materials.  350 volunteers contributed over 2500 hours to the home improvements, clean up and flower planting in adjacent public spaces and re-establishment of the community pocket park....

Rebuilding Together Indianapolis is proud to partner with Rebuilding Together for the Kickoff to Rebuild Event.


Kickoff to Rebuild is an annual NFL sanctioned event hosted by Rebuilding Together.  For 17 years, Rebuilding Together has partnered with the NFL to bring our mission of preserving home ownership and revitalizing low-income communities to Super Bowl cities.  On February 3, 2012, we will mobilize hundreds of volunteers, past and present NFL members and players, Indianapolis community leaders, well-known national celebrities, and local and national sponsors to revitalize a dozen homes in the Super Bowl Legacy Neighborhood of Near Eastside.  Our Pre-Game Build will help a dozen homeowners get read...

More than 10 years ago, leaders at St. Vincent Health became interested in expanding their community development efforts in the neighborhood around their West 86th Street location on the northwest side of Indianapolis.  They connected with a group of neighbors and stakeholders who were trying to address issues around low-income housing and quality of life in the area.  Through St. Vincent’s leadership and financial support the organization now known as the Crooked Creek Community Development Corporation (CDC) was born.

This year's Rebuilding Together game day on Saturday, April 28th was a huge success! Joining more than 200 affiliates across the U.S., Rebuilding Together Indianapolis worked in the Near Eastside of Indianapolis in the Martindale Brightwood CDC to revitalize nearly 20 homes.


Despite the rain and cold, the event drew more than 500 volunteers from local companies and union trades.  The opening ceremonies were attended by Mayor Greg Ballard and Representative Andre Carson, along with other local celebrities.  Work on the homes included everything from a new roof, plumbing, and electrical wiring to landscaping, painting, and clean-up.

The children waited anxiously for the ribbon cutting for the installation of the new playground located at 437 N. State Avenue in Indianapolis. When cut on Nov. 5, the children experienced their first moment on their new playground with contentment in their little hearts.
